The use of the time there is quite odd. Did you mean "25 years ago today,..."? Then why wasn't the Today in the title? or was it more like, "Put yourself back in time 25 years and pretend that I am posting. Now, today..." But then it's even more confusing.
I know, I'm being cruel and unusual to someone I'm depending on for a free ride tomorrow, generally a bad idea.
